Privacy Policy
Last updated: 24 July 2026
right.bike is operated by Velogic Limited ("Velogic", "we", "us"). This policy explains what personal information we collect when you use right.bike, how we use it, and the choices you have. For your right.bike account data, Velogic is the data controller — we are responsible for how it is handled, and privacy requests about it come to us.
What We Collect
When you use right.bike, we collect the information you give us directly:
- Account details — your email address and display name from the sign-in method you choose, plus basic body measurements (height and inseam) if you enter them.
- Riding positions — positions you enter yourself, with their discipline and any fit date you record.
- Your garage and wishlist — bikes you add, frames you save, and your wishlist preferences such as category and budget.
- Stock alert preferences — if you ask to be notified when a matching bike is in stock.
- Sign-in records — basic records of sign-ins, kept for security.
What We Receive From Bike Fitters
If you have a professional bike fit at a studio that uses Velogic's fitting tools, your fitter can offer to share the result of your fit to right.bike. Their offer on its own does not put anything in your account: nothing is added until you say yes.
The first time a particular fitter offers to share with you, we hold the fit and ask you. You'll see it on your Fits waiting for you page, itemised — what would be added, which discipline, the date of the fit, and who it's from — with an Allow button. Allowing copies those fits into your account and connects you to that fitter, so their later fits arrive without asking you again. Walking away is a decline: the fits simply keep waiting. A different fitter or studio is a separate decision, and asks you separately.
The only information shared is:
- your riding position — handlebar and saddle coordinates,
- the riding discipline (for example Road or MTB),
- the date of the fit, and
- the name of the fitter or studio, shown on the position so you can see where it came from.
Fitters' notes, photos, reports, and your body measurements are not part of what is shared.
If you don't have a right.bike account yet, we hold the fit result against your email address and send you a single invite email. The position appears in your account when you sign up with that email address. If you never sign up, the fit result is not used for anything else, and you can ask us to remove it at any time.
With you present and agreeing, a fitter can also set up your right.bike account for you there and then, so they can show you your fit before you leave. In that case your fit is added straight away, and your fitter has a short, one-hour view of the new account so they can walk you through it. That view ends the moment you sign in yourself, which is also what makes the account properly yours. If you never sign in, we delete the account and its contents after seven days.
Shared positions appear on your Positions page, labelled with their source, and you can delete them whenever you like. Your fitter keeps their own records of your fit session — those are covered by your fitter's privacy policy; this page covers what arrives in your right.bike account.
How We Use Your Information
- to recommend bikes and sizes that match your riding positions,
- to show which matching bikes are in stock at local stores that work with right.bike,
- to send you stock alert emails you have asked for,
- to label positions with their source, such as the studio where you were fitted, and
- to run, secure, and improve the service — for example sign-in and error monitoring.
We do not sell your personal information.
If Velogic is ever acquired by or merged with another company, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction — it would remain subject to the promises in this policy, and we would notify you of any change of ownership or material change to how your data is handled.
Anonymised, Aggregated Data
Velogic uses data in anonymised, aggregated form — from which you cannot be identified — to improve our products and produce industry insights. Fitters' notes, photos, and reports are never included in any dataset.
Your Rights and Choices
- Access and correction — you can see and edit your details in Settings, or contact us for anything the in-app tools don't cover.
- Export — you can download a copy of your right.bike data (account details, positions, bikes, wishlist, and saved frames) from Settings using "Export My Data".
- Deletion — you can delete your account from Settings. This permanently deletes your account and everything in it, including positions, bikes, wishlist items, saved frames, sign-in records, and any pending fit invites held against your email.
Deleting a single position permanently removes it, and a fitter-shared position you delete will not reappear. Deleting a position does not disconnect you from that fitter: if you have another fit with a fitter you've already allowed, that new result will arrive in your account too — where you can delete it in the same way.
To exercise any of these rights, or to ask a question about them, contact us at the address below.
Keeping and Deleting Data
We keep your information for as long as you have a right.bike account, and only as long as we need it to provide the service. When you delete your account, your data is permanently deleted straight away. If a fit result was shared to an email address that never signs up, we keep only what is needed to fulfil the invite, and you can ask us to remove it at any time.
Cookies and Signing In
right.bike uses cookies to keep you signed in and to keep the service secure. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party ad tracking.
Service Providers
We use a small number of service providers to run right.bike: Microsoft Azure hosts the service, Mailgun delivers our emails, and Sentry helps us monitor errors and keep the service reliable. They process data on our behalf and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.
Changes to This Policy
If our practices change, we will update this page and the date at the top. For significant changes we will let you know — for example by email or a notice in the app.
